Zumbai updates itself. These are the changes in each release, newest first.

Message boxes have their titles back
Warnings, confirmations and other message boxes, including the server password prompt, showed an empty title bar and no heading. They now show their titles again.
"Fix mods" default is honoured
If you set Settings › Mods & storage › "Fix Mods Default" to Auto Skip or Auto Update, launching a server could still ask you about out-of-date mods. Zumbai now uses the default you saved.
No more freezes during mod scans
The window could freeze for 15–20 seconds while Zumbai checked your installed mods, especially on Linux. Mod scans now run in the background.
Smaller fixes
The Servers page now shows the right number of saved servers, instead of "0 saved".
Fixed an error at startup when Zumbai sets its language.

See which DLC a server needs
Some servers need a DLC, such as Badlands, and DayZ won't let you join them without it. Zumbai now shows the DLC a server needs:
on the server list;
in the server's detail pane and details window;
on Discover, as a "DLC: Badlands" tag on the server's card, row and details.
A warning before you launch
When you launch a server that needs DLC, Zumbai checks first. If you don't own the DLC, or Zumbai can't check, it tells you which DLC and asks whether to launch anyway:
Yes carries on with the launch.
No stops it straight away, and you can launch again whenever you like.

Linux: Zumbai works with Flatpak Steam
If your Steam is the Flatpak from Flathub, Zumbai could lose sight of it entirely: Steam showed as not running, and nothing that needs Steam worked. When it could see Steam, pressing Play did nothing, because the request to start DayZ never reached Steam.
Zumbai now finds and talks to Steam the same way whether it is the Flatpak or installed natively, and Play starts DayZ through the Flatpak. On a machine with both installed, it uses the one that is running, including which account is signed in. A machine with only the Flatpak now gets mod downloads too: the Flatpak does not include a file Zumbai needs for them, so Zumbai now brings its own copy.
Linux: no more "Missing PBO" with two Steams installed
With both the Flatpak and the native Steam installed, Zumbai could prepare a server's mods for the copy of DayZ belonging to the Steam that was not running. DayZ then started from the other one without them, and the server kicked you for a missing PBO. Zumbai now prepares the mods for the DayZ that will actually start.
Linux: mod updates that never finished
With Flatpak Steam, a mod update could sit unfinished for ever, although Steam had downloaded it in seconds. Flatpak Steam leaves a link inside each mod's folder that points back at the folder itself, and Zumbai followed it round and round while checking the files. Zumbai now steps over those links everywhere it looks through mod and game folders.
Dialogs no longer open behind other dialogs
The update prompt could open behind a message that was already on screen, leaving nothing you could click. New dialogs now open in front of whatever is already open.
Servers re-added on the website
A server that was removed from the website and added again came back with a new identity, but Zumbai kept the old one, so editing, verifying or removing it answered "Server not found". Zumbai now recognises the server by its address and takes on the new identity, keeping your groups and saved servers.
A first-start settings error
Starting Zumbai for the first time could fail to save a setting, because two parts of it tried to create the same one at once. They now take turns.

No more phantom mod updates
Some servers were reported as needing a mod update that did not exist, and fixing it never made the warning go away. The mod on your machine was fine. The number we compared it with was wrong.
A server's mod list can be too long to fit in one reply, and when it was cut short Zumbai read the broken end as though it were real, so a mod picked up a "required" version the server never asked for. Zumbai now notices when a server's list is incomplete and stops trusting the cut-off entry. It no longer turns that into an update you cannot finish.
The old workaround that marked some mismatched mods as "known server bug" and let you in anyway has gone. It was hiding this fault rather than a real problem with other people's servers.
Mod downloads finish before the game starts
Steam reports a finished download and one that has not started the same way, and while it is patching a mod it can be rewriting files with nothing showing as in progress. Zumbai sometimes decided a large mod was complete while Steam was still writing it, and DayZ then started with files disappearing underneath it, usually failing on a missing PBO.
Zumbai now waits until Steam says the mod is no longer downloading and the files on disk have stopped changing.

Set the game's resolution
Preferences → Launch Options now has a DayZ resolution setting. It lists only the resolutions DayZ actually supports at your monitor's aspect ratio — not every mode Windows reports — and applies your choice to whichever profile you launch with, so a new profile inherits it.
It is re-checked against your display every launch rather than trusted. Swap a monitor, copy a profile to another machine, or undock a laptop from the 4K screen you set it up on, and Zumbai drops to the nearest resolution that fits instead of leaving DayZ asking for one your screen cannot show.
Leave it on Use the display's resolution and it simply follows whatever monitor you are on.
Force window mode works both ways
It could only ever turn windowing *on*. Switching it off left DayZ's own setting in place, so a game already set to windowed stayed windowed with nothing in the launcher to explain why. Off now means fullscreen.
Linux: profiles work
DayZ was never told where your profile lived when launched through Proton, so on Linux every profile feature was doing nothing — your settings, keybinds and characters stayed inside DayZ's own prefix while Zumbai's profile folder sat empty. It is now given the same folder Windows uses, addressed the way Proton can reach it. Nothing moves, so existing installs need no migration.

I hate Linux Desktop Developers, they don't get that creating 100 different ways to make something simple because of their own opinions is why Linux Desktop is somewhere no sane person wishes to release for
