What we collect
We count page views using hashed, salted IP addresses (SHA-256) for basic analytics. Those counts never store your actual IP address. We keep download counts, with no personal information attached. Cookies are used only for administrator login — never to track visitors.
Server logs
The web server records each request: the IP address it came from, the country Cloudflare reports for that address, your browser’s identifying headers, the page requested and the page you came from. We use this to keep the site secure and to count visits and search-engine crawls. The logs are deleted after 14 days. The visit counts we keep from them lose the IP address after 14 days.
How it’s stored
Apart from the server logs above, visitor information is anonymised by cryptographic hashing before it’s written down — IP addresses are salted and hashed first. The analytics we keep are aggregated: they cannot identify an individual.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request access to your data (if any exists), request its deletion, and object to its processing. Apart from server logs, which are deleted after 14 days, we hold no personal data, so in practice there is usually nothing to hand over or erase. But the right stands, and we’ll honour it.
Analytics
We count visits with Web-Stats, our own analytics, which runs on our own server — no third party sees your traffic. It uses no cookies. When a page has loaded, your browser sends one small signal back to this site. It tells us that a person, not a program, read the page, and it carries no data of its own. Downloads, and the Zumbai Client’s update and server-list checks, are also counted on our server. Web-Stats keeps the IP address for 14 days and then deletes it; the figures we keep after that cannot identify an individual.
Third parties
Cloudflare provides our CDN and DDoS protection. Steam’s API is used to verify identities for server discovery; we don’t store your Steam profile data beyond what’s needed for that to work.
